Windows 95 Set Up
Installing the dial up connection for Access Bee is as simple as 3 easy steps.
  1. Installing Dial up Networking.
  2. Installing TCP/IP as the network protocol.
  3. Dial-up networking configuration for AccessBee

Prerequisites:
In order to install AccessBee the following prerequisites must be met.

  1. Windows '95, Windows '98, or Windows NT 4.0 installed and running.
  2. A functional modem (preferably 14.4 or faster)
  3. A Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT installation CD.
  4. A working phone line.

Installing Dial-up Networking

  • Check the My Computer icon for the presence of the Dial-up Networking Folder. If it is present proceed to Step 2.
  • From the My Computer icon choose the Control Panel.
  • Choose the Add/Remove Programs folder then choose the Windows Setup Tab.
  • Highlight the Communications Option and choose the Details button
  • Place a check in the Dial-Up Networking check box and choose the OK Button.

 

  • The installation of Dial-up Networking may prompt you for your original Windows 95 CD. After Dial-up Networking has been installed the system will prompt you to reboot your machine.
  • When the system is rebooted the dial-up networking is ready for use.

Installing TCP/IP as the networking protocol.

  • From the My Computer icon choose the Control Panel.
  • Choose the Network icon.

 

  • The Network configuration screen will appear
  • Configure Dial up networking to appear as below. The default settings for TCP/IP will work and no further configuration is necessary.

 

Create and configure your dial-up session to Access Bee.

  • From the desktop, double-click the My Computer Icon.
  • Choose the Dial-up Networking Icon, Choose the Make New connection Icon

 

  • Re-name the connection Access Bee.
  • Make sure your Modem is specified correctly.

  • Click Next
  • Fill in the area code and telephone number fields.

 

  • Click Next, then click Finish.
  • You now have a new connection labeled AccessBee
    Right click with your right mouse button on the AccessBee connection and select Properties.

  • Make sure the telephone number field reads 282-0149 or the local access number for your area, and the connect using box displays the correct modem that you will be using.
  • Click the Server Types Tab at the top of the window.

 

Make sure you have Enabled software compression and TCP/IP checked only, then click OK.

  • Go to my computer.
  • and open the control panel.
  • From the control panel open the Internet Icon.

Click the connection tab at the top of the window.

Highlight the Access Bee connection and select "Set Default".
Make sure you have selected "Always dial my default connection".
Click on the settings tab.

 

Type in your user name and password then click OK.
Close all windows and double click your Browser.
