Windows NT Set Up
Installing the dial up connection for Access Bee is as simple as 3 easy steps.
  1. Installing Dial up Networking.
  2. Installing TCP/IP as the network protocol.
  3. Dial-up networking configuration for Access Bee.

 

Prerequisites:

In order to install Access Bee the following prerequisites must be met.

  1. Windows 95 Windows 98, or Windows NT 4.0 installed and running.
  2. A functional modem (preferably 14.4 or faster)
  3. A Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT installation CD.
  4. A working phone line.

    From My Computer Double click the Dial-Up-Networking Icon, and then click the New Icon.


    Fill in the necessary entry fields below. Please insert your local access number into the Phone Number field. Make sure Dial using represents the modem that you will be using to connect to Access Bee.

    Click the Configure button.

The Initial speed will vary, depending on your modem’s capability. If you are running a 28.8 or 33.6, Initial speed should read 57600. If you are running a 56K modem, then the speed should read 115200. Check all three boxes under Hardware Features. After you have made the changes click OK.

 

Next Click the Server Tab, and make the screen appear like this.


Next Click the Script Tab.

Make sure None is selected. Click the Security Tab.

Make sure Accept any authentication including clear text is selected.

Click the X.25 Tab.

 

Set the Network to None. Click OK, this should return you to the Main Menu of your connection.

Choose the Dial button.

Enter your User Name and Password then click OK.

This should immediately dial to the Access Bee Server and establish a connection.
Once your connection has been established you can open your browser (IE, or Netscape).


To make your connection dial out when you select your browser, go to the Internet Icon under the Control Panel. Click the connection tab at the top.

Highlight Access Bee and select "Set Default".

Click the settings tab.

 

Enter your user name and password in the necessary fields.

Click OK then OK again.
Close all windows and double click your internet browser.
